A two-sided platform connecting brands and journalists, turning fragmented press communication into a single, structured feed.

Role: Product Designer (Lead) Team: 2 designers + Brandfeed founder

Context

Press communication is broken on both ends. Brands struggle to get their releases in front of the right journalists, often falling back on email lists they bought or built years ago. Journalists, on the other side, waste hours digging through cluttered inboxes to find stories that match their beat.

No tool was built for both sides at once. PR platforms like Cision focus on the brand. Newsletters and inbox folders are what journalists improvise with. The result: low response rates, fragmented coordination, and frustrated teams on both sides.

Solution

Brandfeed brings brands and journalists into the same ecosystem — but designed for two different jobs.

For brands: a structured dashboard to publish press releases, manage media kits, and track performance. Replaces email lists and spreadsheets with a single source of truth.

For journalists: a curated feed where they follow brands they care about, save releases for later, and contact PR teams directly. Designed to feel as fast as Twitter, as organized as a newsroom.

Design language: A clean editorial layout that respects the journalistic context, with a single pink accent reserved for primary actions. A modular component system scales the same patterns across both experiences while letting each side feel native to its user.

Business Goal

Position Brandfeed as the default tool for brand-to-press communication. The dual goal: generate recurring revenue from brand subscriptions while building a journalist user base that creates a network effect competitors can't replicate.

User Goal

For brands: publish, distribute, and measure press releases without depending on email lists. For journalists: find relevant brand news quickly, organized by interest and ready to use.
