B-Day is a mobile app that helps users remember and celebrate special dates through a Chinese Zodiac–inspired calendar, blending functionality with cultural storytelling.

Overview
B-Day is a mobile reminder app that reframes birthdays and special dates as meaningful, shareable moments. It utilises a Chinese Zodiac inspired calendar to blend cultural storytelling with a clear, minimalist interface. This was my final course project, built collaboratively. As a Junior Product Designer, I owned UI screens, component variants, microinteractions, and delivered dev-ready handoffs.
Problem & Goal
Most reminder apps feel transactional: you get a notification, send a message, and move on. Our goal was to keep the speed and clarity of utility apps while adding emotion and delight without increasing friction for core tasks (view the calendar, check details, send a greeting).
